Every year, Jordan comes out with a new iconic Retro shoe for Black History Month. This year, they brought back the Air Jordan 2 to start the celebration off right. The Retro 2 is an iconic sneaker on its own. Although we don't see it as much as the Retro 1 or Retro 11, it still peaks interest and garners respect. I think there is something to be said of that alone.
The basic underlying color scheme is Black and Gold, and rightfully so. The combination of black and gold always gives off a very clean and regal feel. The upper features a black textured pattern. The use of shiny black on matte black is a very nice touch and draws you in to take a closer look at the intricate patterns that adorn most of the shoe. On the heel, Jordan continues that same pattern but in bright colors that celebrate Black History Month and more traditional African wear. The continuation of the pattern from black to color is flawless and each heel displays a different set of colors, equally striking. BHM Jordan's are all about Afro Futurism in sports and this Retro 2 is no different. At the top of the left heel it says "BHM" and the right, "Nike" in gold. Overall, each element of this sneaker's design is tied in together so well. I won't be surprised when they fly off the shelves come release day Friday, February 1st.
Make sure you contact us to place your order before it's too late! This is an excellent start to Black History Month for Nike and Jordan, we're just eager to see what else they come out with. Don't forget to keep checking our website and Instagram for all BHM collection updates!

It was one shoe that became an instant hit. So much so that here we are, 10 years later, witnessing a similar event.
Ray Allen’s relationship with Air Jordan goes all the way back to his basketball

As they go on to commemorate and honor him, the Air Jordan 7 PE was released just recently. What many people fail to realize is that before the Super Sonics and Boston Celtics, Ray Allen actually played for the Milwaukee Bucks alongside Michael Jordan. In fact, he was one of the 5 plays that Michael Jordan selected to support and wear his infamous jumpman logo in the NBA.
As the 2019 NBA has been scheduled to officially start in June of this year, excitement rages throughout the globe. One of the most prominent teams in history has been the Lakers with 16 NBA banners suspended for display in their rafters.
